Experience

The work I’ve done, the tools I’ve used, and what I’m learning next

My experience spans cybersecurity, IT, software development and AI-assisted automation. I prefer to show where I’ve used a skill rather than leave it as a word on a list. I’m still completing my degree, and I’m continuing to build practical experience through projects, study and hands-on work.

Work

Founder · Principia Works

November 2025 – present

I founded and run a cybersecurity and OSINT startup focused on public digital exposure, research and practical security awareness.

  • Develop and deliver security awareness sessions for audiences including executives, educators and staff, explaining risks in plain language.
  • Assess public digital exposure, document findings, and recommend practical steps to reduce unnecessary risk.
  • Build Python-based tools and workflows to reduce repetitive investigation, tracking and reporting tasks.
  • Prepare structured reports and maintain a repeatable process for findings and follow-up.

Working with AI

I care about what AI can do inside a real workflow.

I use AI while building software, and I integrate models into tools and processes where they can do a useful job. That might mean sorting information, drafting something for review, extracting structure from documents, or helping an agent use an API. The goal isn’t to add AI just because it’s available; it’s to make a task more manageable without hiding the limitations or removing the human decision where it matters.

  • Inside software people already use

I look for places where a model can help without forcing someone into an entirely new way of working.

Example: Argus analyses an opportunity, suggests CV changes with reasons, and prepares an application email for review.

  • Inside a team’s workflow

I use automation to take repetitive administrative work off people’s hands while leaving the output open to review.

Example: An AI-assisted workflow turns long meeting recordings into structured minutes and action items.

  • Agents that use tools

I build workflows where a model can consult data, call APIs, and use tools to complete a defined task, rather than just return a block of text.

Example: VeldWys brings herd records, weather, pasture information and livestock health protocols together to support advice for Namibian farmers.

  • On hardware I own

Local models are useful when I want to experiment without a recurring API bill, or when keeping data on my own machine is an important part of the design.

Example: My video editing tool transcribes and helps assemble car-review footage locally.

Tools I use

Anthropic
Claude, Claude Code, Claude Platform and API
OpenAI
ChatGPT, Codex and API models
Google
Gemini models and APIs, Antigravity and Google Cloud
Local models
Ollama and Whisper
Integrations
MCP servers, APIs, n8n and Zapier

The tools change quickly. I focus on understanding how to connect them to a useful task, choose the right model for the job, and check the result before it is relied on.

Volunteering

ISACA Windhoek Chapter

2025–2026

I volunteered with the Windhoek chapter of ISACA, supporting administration and later serving on the board. The work gave me experience coordinating people, keeping records organised, and improving the workflows behind events and board operations.

Marketing Director

2026

Board role focused on coordination and communication.

  • Coordinated communication between board members, sponsors, speakers and external stakeholders.
  • Built AI-assisted workflows to speed up communications, reports and event materials.

Administrative Intern

September 2025 – February 2026

  • Maintained meeting records, minutes and action registers, and followed up on outstanding items.
  • Coordinated shared documents and structured records across a remote board.
  • Documented repeatable workflows to improve consistency, handover and accountability.
  • Built an AI-assisted workflow that turns meeting recordings into structured minutes and action items.
